G O V E R N M E N T   H I G H L I N E   C A N A L   R E H A B I L I T A T I O N   P R O J E C T
Phase 3 of the Government Highline Canal Rehabilitation project begins November 1, 2020.
It is anticipated that Phase 3 will be completed no later than April 1, 2023.

Goals of this continuing project are to:
  • Reduce Colorado River salinity
  • Control seepage
  • Increase canal capacity

Construction Zones for Phase 3

The primary construction zone is from 36 3/10 Road to 35 3/10 Road.
Construction-related activity will also take place on the canal service roads from approximately 1/2 mile east of Elberta Avenue to 35 3/10 Road, and public roads in the area.

Construction Activity
Work may be ongoing seven days a week, up to 12 hours a day, given the demands of completing each annual component of this project while water is out of the canal.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
